Procrastination

Even though it is not January first, people in my immediate social sphere are getting a jump on it. Perhaps it an echo of back to school fervor that has never been outgrown. I know that in September I still have the urge to stock up on journals and pens that don’t skip from having been left in the glove compartment for too long.
One woman invited her fb followers to give her a slogan she could sink her teeth into. Drumming up external pressure, making lists of things to stop doing, schedules for things to start doing regularly, setting up goals and five year plans has felt like putting on a straight jacket and typing with my toes. So much effort. So little results.
